American Roots is currently hiring for the following positions: 

1. Sales Representative 

The Sales Representative will represent American Roots and their unique products. 

Essential Functions: 

  • The Sales Representative will be calling on existing clients and new prospects, always providing excellent customer services before, during, and after the sale to ensure retention and loyalty to the AR brand 

  • Maintain working relationships with existing clients to ensure exceptional service and identification of potential new sales opportunities 

  • Identify appropriate prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage sales cycle to close new business 

  • Possess in-depth product knowledge and be able to conduct presentations for potential and existing customers 

  • Prepare professional, complete, concise, and accurate reports, proposals, and other documentation as required 

  • Achieve sales goals by assessing current client needs and following a defined selling process with potential buyers 

  • Coordinate with other sales reps to ensure company quotas and standards are being met, performing market research and regular competitor monitoring 

  • Develop innovative strategies to achieve sales goals 

  • Promptly submit customers’ sales orders to the appropriate department for processing and production scheduling 

  • Resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner to ensure customer loyalty 

  • Expand brand image by attending Industry Conferences and Conventions

Qualifications:

Successful candidates will have a strong sales aptitude, proven skills, and a good work ethic. 

Salary Range of $80,000 - $100,000 includes a base salary, ranging from $55,000 - $65,000, plus commission and full benefits. Annual commission ranges $25K-45K. Salary is commensurate with experience 

2. Administrative Assistant

Full Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Administrative Assistant to deliver efficient administrative support in a well-organized and timely manner. Your role involves supporting the sales team, executive leadership, and potentially other departments, in handling various tasks to streamline their work and communications.
The Administrative Assistant supports a variety of functions of the day-to-day operations of the sales and customer service team. The position will receive all incoming phone calls, sales inquiries, website info requests, and direct them to the appropriate personnel. This position is responsible for performing clerical tasks within an office setting to support daily operations and at times, multiple departments.
As an individual contributor, you will provide personalized assistance, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication.

Essential Functions:
•    Provide administrative support to multiple departments
•    Answer and direct phone calls
•    Respond to direct customer service inquiries and direct to consumer sales orders
•    Assist with resale partners in obtaining quotes and pricing for sales team
•    Maintain contact lists for CRM and marketing automation platform
•    Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
•    Book travel arrangements for sales team
•    Maintain calendar for special events and conventions
•    Support annual gift giving and donations program
•    Provide general support to visitors
•    Conduct data entry as needed
•    Additional front office administrative tasks and projects as needed

Qualifications/Skills:
•    Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant, or in other administrative positions supporting leadership
•    Full comprehensive knowledge of office management systems and procedures
•    Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite (MS Word, Excel, PPT)
•    Familiarity and experience with Outlook
•    High Proficiency in English language
•    Exemplary planning and time management skills
•    Up to date with advancements in office gadgets and applications
•    Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload
•    Strong attention to detail with organizational, planning and problem-solving skills
•    Strong team player, excited to work closely with multiple departments and team members
•    High level verbal and written communication skills
•    Excellent writing skills
•    Discretion and confidentiality

Education and Experience:
•    High school diploma or equivalent
•    Experience in a fast-paced office setting
•    Previous experience working in a related field within a customer service role
•    Ideally 2-3 + years' experience in administrative function
