FAQ

We describe the fit style in each item's "Detail Features" section. Unless otherwise noted, all of our items are Unisex. We do carry some items in a Women's cut, but those items are clearly marked as such. Most of our apparel is described as "Standard straight fit," meaning the item is a traditional fit, designed for the masses - it will correlate to the size you would typically buy for yourself. Relaxed fit means the item is built with more room in mind. Slim fit means the design is fit close to the body with a more tapered cut. 

Currently, we do not have a brick & mortar retail space dedicated to direct-to-consumer purchases. Our factory in located in Westbrook, Maine and while we love to have people visit from time to time and see our American made, Union made production in-action, we do ask any requests come through our customer service operations by emailing info@americanrootswear.com or calling 207-854-4098. For the safety of our stitchers and our customers, we ask that requests be cleared by our staff before any trips to the factory. 

The majority of our items are made from 100% combed cotton fleece. Our combed cotton is from North Carolina and has undergone an additional combing process to remove impurities. This treatment allows for high-quality, soft, and durable cotton, and because of this, our gear is strong, warm, smooth against the skin, and has little-to-no pilling after many washes.
